The Los Salias Municipality is one of the 21 municipalities (municipios) that makes up the Venezuelan state of Miranda and, according to a 2007 population estimate by the National Institute of Statistics of Venezuela, the municipality has a population of 75,836.[1] The town of San Antonio de Los Altos is the shire town of the Los Salias Municipality.[2]

This amounts to 2.7% of the state's population.[3] The municipality's population density is 1,486.98 inhabitants per square kilometre (3,851.3 /sq mi).[4]
The mayor of the Los Salias Municipality is Juan Fernández Morales, re-elected on October 31, 2004 with 65% of the vote.[5][6] The municipality is divided into one parish (San Antonio de Los Altos).[2]
